It was actually built in Van Nuys ,CA a lot of the iron has turned in to iron oxide and sometimes it is my least favorite car on Earth, but right now it’s this one.

Let’s just say that the area I live in doesn’t have a whole lot of cars sporting a “Coexist” bumper sticker.

Yamahog! Just the person I was looking for! What do you think of the Gen 6, as a Gen 5 owner?

I haven’t gotten to drive one yet, but I’ve been in the passenger seat and the interior is obviously much improved. The V6 and V8 sound good IMO, haven’t heard the turbo 4 yet. I’m not sure if the new 1LE package will be as good a deal as the 5th gen was, but we’ll see.

my dad has a ‘73 convertible which is sadly beyond repair, thanks to Michigan winters. But I think the ‘71-’72 look better.
My dream car would be a ‘71 with a 429.

Fair enough. I guess we’ll have to wait for word on pricing. Although six piston Brembos, FE4 magnetic ride control, an E-LSD, forged wheels, and special tires on the SS model sound very appealing.

I’m missing something... What does the date have to do with “Detroit iron”?
![]() 03/13/2016 at 22:35 |

313 is the area code for Detroit.

M18 Hellcat, Tank Destroyer designed/built by Buick. armed with a 76mm main gun its biggest feature was that it was very fast, it could travel up to 55mph (this made it the fastest AFV of the war)
It was quite effective because of its high mobility.

Very cool. Didn't know about that one. When you said Hellcat, in thought of the current Dodge product of the same name that everybody talks about on Oppo.

I see. I can understand why you thought that.
